Jennie Bristow is an experienced journalist, editor, researcher and broadcaster. Over the past 10 years, Jennie has:

• Written for the print and online media, and broadcast frequently on national TV and radio. Jennie's book Standing Up To Supernanny  was published in 2009. In recent years Jennie has specialised in parenting culture and reproductive health. See selected writings and broadcast appearances here.

• Conducted academic research and published work based on original investigations, including the high-profile report Licensed to Hug (Civitas 2008; re-published 2010).

• Developed editing systems and run workshops on writing and broadcasting for a range of organisations, including the ABPI, spiked and Richmond Adult Community College, London.

• Taught on undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Kent, where she works with the Centre for Parenting Culture Studies; and lectured on the Cambridge University Pembroke-King's Programme, at Canterbury Christchurch University, and at the Institute of Ideas' Academy.

• Produced concise summaries of lengthy academic documents for a policy and media audience. These include:
